After the magnificence of Yellowstone, I was prepared for a duller landscape, but immediately below Yellowstone lies the Grand Teton mountain range and national park so there was no let up in the jaw dropping scenery. In Winter this area becomes one of America's prime snow destinations, but seen under Summer skies, there's a whole other life to be had.
On my way to my next stopover in Jackson I stumbled across the town of Wilson apparently founded by Uncle Elijah 'Nick' Wilson in 1895. Chatting with the locals about the history of their founder revealed a taste for polygamy (of Uncle Nick) as well as taste for homemade burgers resulting in a restaurant recommendation I couldn't ignore...

Truly Grand!
ReplyDeleteYou're clearly having the best time ever !! Where has the best burger been so far, and why ?
ReplyDeleteUp until two days ago, Fish & Farm's secret sauce burger in San Francisco was out in front, but I stumbled onto a new joint 1st just outside Jackson, none of the flash of Fish & Farm, but scored where it mattered - on the food!
