I've made it 'Frisco. Took a few pictures along the way.
A useful time to pause and take stock on the last 2000 miles or so.
Things I have learned so far:
- If you are a man of a certain age, you pull your white socks alllll the way up
- Corners are usually hobbled with a speed limit at least half that which could actually be employed
- Most truckers also have two dogs in the cab with them
- Your truck can never be too big
- Sometimes walking sideways or backwards up a dune is easier than walking fowards
- Sometimes it's worth turning around to see where you've been
- Most American drivers really don't like corners
- Following your nose rather than a rigid plan is good
